Pinoy Big Brother Teen Big Winner James Reid is not after fame and money

Filipino-Australian James Reid became the very first global housemate to become a Big Winner when he got the most number of text votes during the finals of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010 last June 26. In a press conference, James told reporters that he auditioned for PBB so he can experience new things. “Before I came in the house, I was doing home study so I never had the opportunity to make friends that much. PBB was a great opportunity for me to meet new people and make friends. I didn’t expect I would reach this far and become a Big Winner.”

James’s Australian father had been visiting the Philippines frequently to do business, operating dance clubs. The 17-year old shared that he would often come to the country for vacation. Since he’s from a well-off family, James said he never joined PBB just for the prize. “I don’t really need it. The one million was too much for me to take. There are other people in the house who need it more. That was I didn’t vote for myself to be the Big Winner. But in the end I realized it was not about the money anymore. It was about who has the best character.”

That was why when Big Brother would ask him if he thinks he will become the Big Winner, James would express his doubts. It was only in the last couple of weeks of PBB when he finally realized that he also deserves to win. “When I was in the Big Six, Big Brother explained to me that I have to believe in myself because people are believing in me. In the end, we were all given the chance to show that we are all deserving to be a Big Winner.”

James gave a message to those criticizing his victory, saying a foreigner like him has no right to win a Pinoy competition. “I believe that I deserve the title. Just like them I also worked hard to be here. I earned the title and people voted for me.”

The young lad easily won the hearts of PBB viewers, primarily the girls, because of his good looks. James thinks Filipinas are really into mestizo looks. “In Australia I’m quite average [looking]. I don’t really stand out. But here people seem to stare at me.”

Gifted with good looks, he admitted he is also open to giving showbiz in the Philippines a try, although that was also not his goal when he auditioned for PBB. “I’ll be staying here in the Philippines for a while, maybe for a year, to just see where this experience will take me. It was in PBB where I first sang and performed.” James knows how to play and guitar and sings quite well, but explained he grew up being very shy about showing his talents.

James has had only two girlfriends, one of whom was a half-Filipina. He revealed the quality he loves the most about Pinays. “I love dark-skinned Filipinas. In Australia, almost everyone goes to the beach just to get a good tan.”

Kim Chiu is not yet ready to do kissing scenes with other young actors

Some people were wondering why Kim Chiu didn’t have any intimate scenes with Carlo Aquino in their Maalaala Mo Kaya episode where they played a young married couple a few weeks ago. Apparently, she’s not yet ready to be daring when paired with leading men other than Gerald Anderson.

But speaking of experimental love teams, Kim recently met Aljur Abrenica who happens to be one of the stars from ABS-CBN’s rival network. The young actor was reportedly very eager to get to know Kim at the time. When asked if she would be willing to work with Aljur, she said that she has no problem doing a future collaboration but only if ABS-CBN approves of it first.

She didn’t even make a big deal out of the fact that he admires her critically-acclaimed body of work as well.

John Prats to John Lloyd Cruz: 'Alagaan niya si Shaina'

After John Lloyd Cruz’s revelation about his relationship with Shaina Magdayao on last week’s The Buzz, it was John Prats’ turn to a tell-all interview with Boy Abunda on the talk show yesterday. John revealed that he was informed about Lloydy’s exclusive interview on The Buzz while he was doing a show on Los Angeles, California, USA.

When Boy asked him about his initial reaction when he learned about this, John replied, “Wala akong naging reaction. Hindi ako na-hurt, hindi ako nalungkot, parang wala lang sa akin,” he said and added that he does not expect everyone to believe him. But John revealed his reasons why this is so. “’Pag nagmahal ka all-out, lahat ibibigay mo, that’s why siguro nandirito rin ako ngayon kasi wala akong regrets. Lahat binigay ko, lahat ginawa ko.”

Though rumors about his break-up with Shaina have circulated late last year, the former couple kept silent about it. John told Boy that he and Shaina broke up on the last week of November last year. “We had a fight and then nag-start lang naman kaming cool off ganyan, but we never saw each other after that,” he said. Among his past relationships, John said that his relationship with Shaina was the longest, which lasted for almost three years. He also thought that she was the woman he was going to marry.

John also confirmed John Lloyd’s previous statement that they both talked over the phone and clarified to him that he did not enter a relationship with Shaina while she and John were still together. John also pleaded to Boy not to focus anymore about the hurtful incidences during the break up regardless whether it’s true or false because nothing will change the fact that they have split up and that he and Shaina have moved on. Whatever they say hindi na mababalik (‘yung relasyon),” he said. He also clarified that he has no ill feelings now towards Shaina’s new boyfriend although there was a point when he did.  When asked about his message to John Lloyd, John replied, “Alagaan niya si Shaina at alam ko naman aalagaan niya.”

He admitted that he had a difficult time dealing with the break up. “Mahirap kasi when you wake up in the morning and wala kang tinatawagan to say good morning to and I love you. Bago ka matulog siya. ‘Yun ang mahirap, ‘yung adjustment period,” John shared.  He did not deny the fact that he still misses Shaina and her family, whom he has become close with.

On a last note, John said that he is very much single now and that it is just now that he is fully enjoying the single life.

Jericho Rosales wants to work with KC Concepcion again

The success of I'll Be There is one of the things Jericho Rosales is thankful for right now. He said that to have worked with KC Concepcion and Gabby Concepcion is such a privilege and the movie's success is merely a bonus. He is appreciative of the people's unwavering support for the cast and Star Cinema and for every ABS-CBN project. "Yes, super successful yung I'll Be There. Sana makapanood pa kayo. I am happy for the team siyempre, for Star Cinema kasi maganda yung mga reviews sa pelikula. Thank you talaga."

Many of his fans and supporters have noted his onscreen chemistry with KC. Some even made comments that he is more suitable as KC's leading man than the latter's rumored boyfriend, Piolo Pascual. "Nakita ko nga rin yung [pagtanggap sa amin ng tao] nung premiere night na nagsigawan yung mga tao for us. Actually, simula pa lang ng mga eksena [at shoot] namin, nagbi-build up pa lang yung story, they (cast and crew) said na okay kami [ni KC together]. I didn't expect that." He appreciates those remarks but said that there is no competition between him and his friend Piolo. "I can say naman na gusto ko uli makatrabaho si KC, but I can't say anything about her and Piolo, they have their own special chemistry. Basta ako kapag may nakita akong possibility na pwede kaming magtrabaho uli for a different project na mas makapal yung anggulo ng (love story) or kung ano man io-offer sa amin, I can easily work with KC because meron kaming connection. Plus we are good friends."

Meanwhile, Jericho has several projects lined up this year. He has a soap with Anne Curtis which is already in the works. "I have a soap with Anne Curtis, kasama ko si Jake Cuenca at si Alessandra de Rossi. Nagta-taping na kami. It's more than a love triangle, hindi ganun yung anggulo ng storya iba. Medyo action-drama yung genre. May offer din ako na gumawa ng pelikula with a leading lady na hindi ko pa nakakatrabaho.”

Kris Aquino bids farewell to The Buzz

It was an emotional Sunday on The Buzz since it was Kris Aquino’s last day as a host of the show. Kris gave up all her showbiz talk-shows—The Buzz and SNN —to protect her brother, President-elect Noynoy Aquino from possible criticisms in the future because of her statements on the said programs. “I just don’t want to be a burden. I didn’t want na stuff I could say here could have negative effect on my brother and I didn’t feel na my personal life or personal views should have an effect on him,” she explained. “Ten years, Antagal pala. Andami palang nangyari talaga,” realized a tearful Kris.

Though ready to take on the challenge and responsibilities as the presidential sister, Kris did not hide the fact that she has fears with her new endeavor.

Kris also expressed her gratitude to all those who supported her and to ABS-CBN, who made her the celebrity she is today. “For any television personality you gave me the greatest gift, you gave me your time, you gave me your trust. You let me be myself and accepted me for me. Sa management ng ABS-CBN, it will be 14 years. Thank you for letting me grow, thank you for believing in me.”

She also left a message to her “partner” Boy Abunda, who not only hosted The Buzz together with Kris for a decade, but has become Kris’s closest friend in showbiz. “Binigay mo na lahat ang buong tiwala mo, ‘yung buong pagkatao mo, all the love I could ever need… thank you for always being ready to defend me and understand me. You became Boy, I became Kris during this journey and the partnership we had siguro wala nang makaka-question, siguro we had one of the best marriages on television. I will miss this and I will miss you.”

She also gave a short message to the newest host of The Buzz, KC Concepcion. “The road ahead for you is so great.”

Kris also took pride in saying that she has been given the opportunity to bid farewell to her show while she’s on top of her game. “Ang konti-konti ng nandito sa industriya namin na nabibigyan ng pagkakataon na magpaalam na their show is still on top, they’re still considered a prized possession of the network. It’s a rare blessing and it was always what Mom prayed for me. So, Mom, everything happens siguro as part of God’s will and I accept that.”

Kris even managed to make a joke amidst an emotional moment. “Who knows, six years from now with science, baka maganda pa naman ako. At hindi pa ako kulubot baka pwede pang bumalik sa The Buzz. In life’s journey, this is one of the most fulfilling and the most educational, top-over and in the journey of life I will always be grateful that you allowed me to be part of your life,” she beamed.

Although she has not yet revealed what her next project or projects will be, reports claim that Kris will host a public service program together with Ted Failon or a noon-time game show.

Kim Chiu on Kris Aquino: 'Kaya niya kahit anong problema'

Kim Chiu shared that the continuing success of her showbiz career motivates her even more to work harder. With numerous projects and endorsements, the actress is just grateful for the outpour of opportunities and blessings. Sobrang happy and thankful, sobrangMaraming-maraming salamat talaga,” she shared during the press conference of her latest endorsement, SM Development Corporation’s My Place.

She revealed that for this endorsement, Kim is entitled to a new condominium unit, which is within the area of ABS-CBN Compound. Mas convenient and mas madali at maganda siya for independent young people katulad ko.”

With the approaching finale of her teleserye, Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo (KTM), Kim’s next project will be a short series on Your Song Presents. However, she said that she will miss the cast of KTM, especially Kris Aquino with whom she became really close. ‘Yung pa-kikay, pa-girl, shopping, ganyan-ganyan.”

Asked what advice from the Queen of All Media she will never forget, Kim answered, “Huwag daw akong masyadong magastos.”

Kim was quite reluctant though when prodded if Kris shared to her anything about her current marital problem.  “Hindi ko po alam…” she said, smiling.

But she is confident that whatever problem Kris is presently dealing with, Kim is confident that the actress-host can handle it. So makakaya niya lahat kahit anong problema,” she explained.

Kim revealed that she and the entire cast of KTM will give their support to Kris’s family when her brother, Sen. Noynoy Aquino, will take his oath as the new president of the Philippines on June 30, Wednesday. “Andun kami so parang first time mangyayari and parang minsan lang mangyayari ito sa buhay namin,” she said.

james yap and kris aquino officially separated

 Kris Aquino-James Yap formally separated.

Kris Aquino: "My marriage to James is over"

MANILA, Philippines - This is a transcript of Kris Aquino's interview on "The Buzz," Sunday (June 27), where she disclosed that she has given up on her marriage to basketball star James Yap.
BOY ABUNDA: Krissy, maraming tanong, maraming opinyon, speculations. This is your chance. We will listen. What do you have to say?
KRIS AQUINO: First, I'm sorry about Tuesday [engagement in Cebu]. For so long, ilang buwan naman na nagampanan ko ang lahat ng tungkulin ko, lahat ng responsibilidad sa trabaho at sa kampanya kahit na mayroon kaming pinagdadaanan sa tahanan namin. It was a sign of weakness on my part not to show up, and I'm sorry about that. I'm sorry that you had to be the one to answer because you felt uncomfortable making up an excuse.
About what we've been through, I think naman Boy hindi lahat sikreto sa inyong lahat, kung ano ang mga napagdaanan namin in our married life. I think also the whole Philippines is fully aware na when my mom was alive and ngayon, my siblings have tried to bridge whatever gaps -- and I mean gaps, marami na kasi.
I have not sat down [with my siblings]...lahat through text -- kay ate, kay Pinky. Through phone, nakausap ko si Viel. Nagtext din kami ni Noy. Siyempre sila lahat, gusto nila sana maayos pa.
I just want to say na whatever decision I have come to, it's not a spur of the moment decision. Matagal naming sinubukan. James and I both tried to really make this work.
On my part, what I'm comfortable saying is, with finality I can say, ako sumuko na.
But there's no way of doing that.
Last night, mga 4 in the morning, hindi ako makatulog pa. Katabi ko si Baby James, and I think he had a bad dream kasi he started to cry in his sleep. And that's when it came to me, and I'm sure lahat ng mga nanay maiintindihan ako. Kung anuman ang dahilan why this marriage, on my part I'm saying, is over, the only person I will owe and explanation to, and the only person who can demand from me na bakit kayo naghiwalay, is my son.
And kagabi Boy, narealize ko, the worst thing I can do for Baby James is, when he's 7 or 8 years old and mahanap niya sa YouTube yung explanation kung bakit naghiwalay ang nanay at tatay niya. He deserves much more than that. He deserves to hear it only from me and only from James. Because in any separation, there are 2 sides to the story. And we owe it to him, James will owe it to him, that I will owe it to him to explain to him.
But I'm sure you will all understand me. My decision to keep quiet is not because on June 30 magiging presidente si Noy. My decision to keep quiet is because I asked myself 'Kapag inexplain ko kay Baby James, number one mauunawaan ba niya ako? Number 2, rerespetuhin pa ba niya ako? At number 3, mamahalin pa ba niya ako?' At nasagot ko naman kagabi na 'yes.' I know my son will understand me, will respect me and still love me. And I feel that he will love me more, respect me more, and value me more if I keep quiet today.
I know that will leave so many unanswered questions, but those questions, only Baby James deserves to hear the answers to. Siguro Boy, this is part of growing up. It's part of realizing that yes, I am public and I owe all of you an explanation, but apart from God, the only one I'm answerable to is kung di man mga kapatid ko eh ang anak ko.
Because I'm doing this for my son, because he's only 3 years old and he really doesn't deserve na kung ano yung trials na pinagdaanan ng parents niya, kailangang ungkat-ungkatin at ulit-ulitin, wag na.
Kung this will mean na maraming hindi makakaintindi sa akin or sasabihin, ijujudge ako, then let it be. I don't mind. The world can judge me. I just want my son to be able to respect me and respect his father. Because at the end of the day, ang utang namin sa kanya. To a certain extent, of course, it will affect Josh but it's really Baby James who will really be affected.
And maybe, yung sinasabi ng mom ko sa akin parati na 'Krissy, love is bringing out the best in each other.' Maybe Baby James is really bringing out the best in me. And that's it, Boy. I really hope they understand that this is for my son.
BOY: Naiintindihan ko. Maraming salamat, Krissy.

Ruffa Gutierrez speaks up on John Lloyd's admission

MANILA, Philippines – Ruffa Gutierrez on Sunday broke her silence on John Lloyd Cruz’s disclosure that they had a “very special relationship.”
In “Paparazzi’s” special birthday episode for Gutierrez, the actress-television host said she was happy that Cruz finally admitted in public that he and young actress Shaina Magdayao are officially a couple.
Gutierrez and Cruz have the same birthday, June 24.
Gutierrez confessed in her celebrity talk show that she knew about Cruz and Magdayao’s relationship “a long time ago.”
She was also glad that the “You Changed My Life” actor had publicly acknowledged their past.
She added that Cruz’s admission would clear her name.
“Alam na ng mga tao kung ano ang totoo with regard doon sa inamin din niya na we had a special relationship…. Sobrang shocked ako. I wasn’t expecting him to say that kasi ang usapan namin from the very beginning na not to talk about it… Pinag-usapan namin na sikreto ito,” she said.
Gutierrez and Cruz became close while working in the now defunct ABS-CBN television series “I Love Betty La Fea.” Gutierrez admitted that they were together “the whole of last year,” and that the “final closure” only happened 2 months ago.
“Alam ko it was very difficult for us the whole of last year, and I’m just so happy that every time he says something about me it’s always with respect. ‘Yon ang agreement namin when we decided to have a final closure…. I’m very, very thankful and grateful that he's doing that part of his deal,” she said.
Cruz maintained that his relationships with Gutierrez and Magdayao had never “overlapped.” But for Gutierrez, the actress said it did.
“When I found out kasi na they were officially a couple already, inamin naman sa akin ni JL (Cruz) ‘yon. We tried our best to say goodbye finally,” she said.
Right now though, Gutierrez said she and Cruz are no longer talking.
“He’s a very nice guy. We shared good memories,” she added. “There’s no issue ngayon. Hindi na kami nagtatawagan, hindi kami nagkikita. Thank God my final closure na. And I really wish JL well in everything.”
As for her birthday wish, Gutierrez said: “More work, taking care of my children and my self, good health and safety for everyone.”

Angel Locsin on Cogie Domingo: ‘Hindi naging kami!’

During the press launch of her endorsement for Century Tuna, Angel Locsin reacted to Cogie Domingo’s claims that he was hurt by her persistent denial of their past relationship. Angel said that she is not denying anything because there was nothing for her to deny in the first place. “Naikwento lang sa akin (about Cogie’s recent interview). Naririnig ko na ‘yan dati pa. Matagal nang issue ‘yan. Wala pa ako sa ABS-CBN. Bakit ngayon lang napaguusapan? Wala akong dapat i-deny.”

The actress added that she feels she should not be the one to do the explaining to the public. Kahit magharap harap kami.

The 25-year-old star also out a message to Cogie asking him to tell the truth.

Angel admitted that she has met Cogie’s family and friends whom she described as nice people, but this should not be a reason to conclude that she was Cogie’s girlfriend.

In spite of the intrigues that have recently hounded Angel, she managed to keep her cool and just ignore what she knows are just complete lies.

The recent rumor that Angel was fond of partying and drinking unfortunately affected the actress’s relationship with her father. But she clarified that she and her dad are now fine. “We’re okay na.

Bea Alonzo on Shaina Magdayao: ‘Hindi naman kami nag-away talaga’

Best friends Bea Alonzo and Shaina Magdayao conquered the catwalk at the Bench, Human and Kashieca Fashion Week held last May 30 at SM Mall of Asia. Bea told ABS-CBN.com during an interview backstage that she is happy to be working with Shaina in live events such as fashion shows because they get to bond again like before as they hardly get the chance to do so now because of their busy schedules.

Bea then dismissed the rumors that she and Shaina are caught in a rift which affected on their friendship.

Bea also clarified that John Lloyd Cruz is not the reason of the conflict, contrary to what theories say. “Definitely hindi kasali si John Lloyd dun kasi even before ma-link siya or even before naisali yung pangalan ni John Lloyd dito, may mga ganun nang pangyayari, (hindi na kami nakakapag-usap).”

Truth is, Bea is happy for Shaina who, according to her, looks really content now. Though Shaina and John Lloyd are slowly opening up to the public about the status of their “special friendship”, Bea kept mum and did not give details of what she knows about Shaina and John Lloyd. “I am happy for them, kahit na ano man yun, I am really happy for them kasi hindi ko naman pwedeng sabihin, or hindi ko naman pwedeng sagutin yung mga questions niyo kasi hindi naman ako involved .Ako lang naman e nandito lang sa side, kaibigan lang naman ako.”

Bea revealed that she is not affected that her best friend is being linked to John Lloyd now, as she has always seen him on a professional level only. “Hindi ko alam (ang feeling) kasi hindi naman personal yung sa amin ni John Lloyd e, it is more of trabaho, kung nai-link man (sila ni Shaina), it is something that we all didn’t expect pero kung yun ang makakapagpasaya sa lahat ng tao, why not hindi ba?”

Will Zanjoe Marudo and Mariel Rodriguez be back in each other’s arms soon?

Mariel Rodriguezwas spotted at Zanjoe Marudo’s Z Cup Golf Tournament last Sunday—one day after she confirmed their break up in an Entertainment Live interview. The ex-couple reiterates though that despite the split up, they remain good friends.

Robin Padilla, who hosted noontime show Wowowee for two weeks, is said to be the cause of the break up. Mariel dismisses the rumor saying, “Sobrang unfair kay Mr. Robin Padilla namadawit sya dito. There’s no third party.”

Mariel reveals that their conflict began after their Asian Cruise last Holy Week, but no one knew about it. “Walang may alam na may pinagdadaanan kami.” But she admits, “Hindi kami mag-kaaway. We’re friends.

When asked if there’s a chance that they get back together, Zanjoe confesses, “Ako wala naman akong plano na talagang mawala kami o mapunta ko sa iba, mapunta sya sa iba.” And Mariel leaves a rather open statement, “There’s no bad blood between us. We’re not mad at each other or anything, so anything is possible.”

John Lloyd Cruz on the Shaina Magdayao-Bea Alonzo rift: ‘Medyo malalim yung issue nila’

At a press con for his endorsement for Jack n’ Jill Magic at Holiday Inn last June 1, John Lloyd Cruz was quick to clarify that he’s not the reason behind the alleged rift between his rumored sweetheart Shaina Magdayao and former leading lady Bea Alonzo who are best friends. But he seemed to be privy to the details about the whole conflict as he stated his reaction to the local press. Wala akong kinalaman dun,” he reiterated.

As much as he wanted to avoid questions pertaining to his much-speculated romance with Shaina, the controversial actor admitted that he understands why a lot of people are curious to know the real score between them. Talagang it deals with yung mga ganyan, kahit na tinatawag natin na invasion of privacy, naiintindihan namin so wala kaming problema dun.”

But when asked if Shaina’s the one who brings the “magic” into his life right now, John Lloyd simply said that it’s impossible for him to be inspired by just one particular person alone. “Aside from my family and friends, you know, ang number one source ng magic in my life is the inspiration that I have in my heart and in my life. Of course it’s the inspiration. Kung saan nanggagaling? Iba-iba—from the family, the artistry, the passion, and all the beautiful ladies [out there],” he remarked.

Despite much prodding from the press, John Lloyd refused to confirm whether he and Shaina are in a relationship or exclusively dating at the very least. “Ayoko na rin magsalita like totally. Ang gusto ko when the right time comes talagang makakapagbigay kami once and for all ng straight and complete and direct to the point answer, so give us time.” Since he claimed he has beeen single for quite some time already, is he ready to have a girlfriend again anytime soon? “You’ll know when I’m ready. Timing is everything.”

In the meantime, John Lloyd feels really blessed now that he was formally launched as the newest endorser of Jack n’ Jill Magic’s extensive line of products under Universal Robina Corporation. “Nakakatuwa kasi after ng Choco Lava, yung dati kong endorsement under the same company na medyo hindi nakapag-renew, napalitan ngayon ng Jack ‘N Jill Magic. At first medyo hesistant ako kasi hindi pa ako gaano ka-familiar sa Magic. And then nung in-introduce sa akin yung products, noon lang ako nakakakita ng napakadaming variants ng isang brand and I tried almost everything. Feeling ko with this new endorsement, talagang nandun yung confidence and it’s gonna be exciting kasi napaka-dynamic ng brand,” he beamed.

Derek Ramsay denies existence of gay sex video

MANILA, Philippines – Derek Ramsay has laughed off a claim that he was videotaped having sex with another man.

Ramsay, whose girlfriend is “Rubi” lead star Angelica Panganiban, categorically denied the existence of his supposed gay sex video. He added that it's easy to determine that he is not the man in the video.

“I have tattoos all over my body na ako lang meron. You can tell [if it’s me in the video]. Angelica can tell. I’m sure she doesn’t want to see the video,” Ramsay said during the press launch of his Century Tuna endorsement.

“Somebody just asked me if I want to see the video and comment. Ayoko. Hindi ko pa napapanood. Huwag na lang. Wala talaga akong ginagawang ganoon. Kahit kamukha ko pa ‘yong nandoon, bakit ko pa titingnan?” he added.

Another hot issue hounding Ramsay, dubbed as the ultimate leading man, is that he is allegedly hiding a wife and child abroad, an intrigue the actor said is absurd. “Wala akong itinatagong asawa sa ibang bansa, anak that I know of.”

Ramsay also pointed out that he is not the first celebrity to be accused of such. “Nagsasabay-sabay ngayon. Si Sam (Milby) nauna, ngayon ako naman. Who’s next?”

What if a marriage contract was produced to support the claim? “Marriage contract? Bring it on!” he confidently replied.

Ramsay surmised that someone probably saw a picture of him cuddling a child and quickly concluded that the child was his.

Derek Ramsay, the new endorser of Century Tuna, denies the existence of his alleged gay sex video.

“I take pictures with kids left and right. I won’t stop doing that and you’ll probably see more of those pictures. That’s who I am with my fans. Sila naman ang reason why I’m here. I want to give back what I can. It’s so hard to believe na something very small can make a fan very happy. Why not do it?” he said.

Amid the intrigues, Ramsay said he would rather focus on his blessings, citing his growing career, his family, girlfriend and friends.

La Greta defended

Ramsay, meanwhile, defended his newest on-screen partner, Gretchen Barretto, from accusation of unprofessionalism at work. Rumor has it that La Greta was always late during tapings for their upcoming teleserye “Magkaribal.”

Ramsay, however, denied the allegations, saying the actress is “the most professional on the set.”

"She's focused. She arrives as Gretchen and when she's on the set she's Victoria (Barretto's character). I really see the effort she's putting in and she's really the one who wants this to push through on June 21," Ramsay said.

"Magkaribal" will premiere on June 21.

Ramsay went on to describe Barretto as a nice person who knows how to listen. "She's really, really nice. Sobrang bait niya sa set. Ang dami niya ding kwento and she really likes to listen to my kwento."

For “Magkaribal,” Barretto and Ramsay had done several love scenes. Ramsay described them as “very steamy,” “rough” and “intense.”

When asked if he was nervous while taping the intimate scenes, Ramsay said: "Oo sobrang, sobrang na napa-shot pa kami bago ‘yon. Sorry that's a lie, more than one shot.”

Ritchie Paul confirms relationship of brod Richard, Jewel Mische

"I mean, kasi si Elvis, may GF siya for ilang years na. Si Chard, alam mo na, si Jewel, di ba? Tapos, 'yon.

"She's really nice, pretty and smart, and she's faithful. She's really a faithful person, she's a nice person. I've got nothing against her whatsoever," sagot ng 23-year-old rapper turned actor.

"Lahat, okay sila lahat.

WORKING WITH JEWEL

Ina-anticipate na ba niya working with Jewel?

"Oo naman," sagot niya.

Close ba sila?

"Well, one time nag-lunch kami, kaming dalawa," sabi ni Ritchie Paul.

Silang dalawa lang?

"Oo, wala namang problema dun, e. Photo shoot [for Pilyang Kerubin], tapos nagkayayaan lang. Gutom na gutom kami, so kumain kami," kuwento niya.

Pilyang Kerubin, magkailangan kaya sila?

"There's no reason for me to feel that way," sagot ni Ritchie Paul.

Katrina Halili ready to continue court battle with Khos

Katrina shared sa kanyang Startalk TX last May 29.

Katrina said sa Startalk TX .

You can visit www.igma.tv/livechat for more details on this event.

Ryan Yllana talks about victory, defeat, and death in their family

Pilyang Kerubin.

Pilyang Kerubin
last Monday, May 31.
NEW WORLD.

DEATH IN THE FAMILY

"Si Kuya Anjo, he's feeling better now," sabi ni Ryan.

Eat Bulaga!, which is good kasi nga kailangan niya ng diversion talaga.

Life goes on sa Yllana Family.

Yung masaya kaming lahat. Dalawa na ngang family members namin ang nawala [Robbie and their father] kaya we want to have good memories from one another," saad ni Ryan.

Vice Ganda resumes filming 'Petrang Kabayo'

MANILA, Philippines – Comedian-host Vice Ganda has resumed filming his first movie, a remake of 1980s film "Petrang Kabayo."

It was January of this year when Vice Ganda announced his first major film. Three months later, however, the comedian confirmed the delay in filming “Petrang Kabayo.”

"Na-delay kasi ginawa din namin 'yong ‘Hating Kapatid’ ni Judy Ann (Santos) at Sarah (Geronimo). Pero eventually nag-start na nga kaya excited akong gawin, tapusin at ipalabas na para magpatawa sa mga tao," the resident judge of hit talent program "Showtime" told ABS-CBN News.

Vice Ganda, Jose Mari Viceral in real life, said when he first joined show business almost a decade ago, he never dreamed that he would eventually star in his own movie.

Before he attained his success, he said it was a “long journey” for him. "Sobrang pinaghirapan at sobrang ipinagdasal ko ito."

Vice Ganda said he owes his success to "Showtime." "Doon na-showcase kung ano ang kaya kong gawin as a performer, as a judge.

"Petrang Kabayo" is a film about an ill-mannered Petra who is cursed by Silveria, the godess of horses. The curse turns Petra into a white horse. He only returns to normal if he respects and treats people well.

The remake is being directed by Wenn Deramas.

Boy Abunda answers critics, bares position on Cabinet offer issue

Boy Abunda open to joining Cabinet after ABS-CBN contract ends

MANILA, Philippines – After saying that he was “not inclined” to accept a Cabinet position in president-apparent Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III’s government, television host and talent manager Boy Abunda is now singing a different tune.

Abunda clarified that he is not closing his doors to the possibility of serving the Aquino administration, at least, not “while I am under contract with ABS-CBN."

I am not closing my doors. But am I going to accept any offer, halimbawa, today? I am not. No, I am not going to take the position,” he told ABS-CBN News.

Abunda said his contract with ABS-CBN will end in 2011.

Aquino, older brother of Kris Aquino, is eyeing Abunda to become tourism secretary. He took note of “The Buzz” host’s ability to clearly communicate ideas and understand the audience.

When sought for reaction, Abunda initially said that although he is grateful to be considered, he is not “inclined to accept it.”

“I can help ‘Noy in another capacity. I have a personal relationship with Noy. I think it will be more effective if I continue what I am doing now... giving him advice -- devoid of agenda and bias, devoid of politics,” Abunda said.
